Police identify 'Box Demon' after creepy encounter on Ring camera in North York, Pa.

NORTH YORK, Pa. (WPVI) -- Police in Central Pennsylvania say they have identified the person who was caught on Ring camera calling themselves "The Box Demon."

Officials say they have spoken to this person, as well as the homeowner, adding that there are no public safety concerns.

Police in North York were searching for the suspicious person after a homeowner shared a creepy video of someone referring to themselves as the "Box Demon' while wearing a homemade paper-plate mask and carrying an empty box.

The person left the packaging on the porch and walked away.

No other information has been released at this time.
