5 rescued from Chester house fire

Crews battled a 2 alarm fire in Chester, Pa.

CHESTER, Pa. (WPVI) -- Five people were rescued from a two alarm in Chester, Delaware County.

The fire occurred at a three story house around 7:00 p.m. Tuesday on the 300 block of East 12th Street.

The fire was brought under control within a half hour.

All five people were taken to area hospitals for observation.

One adult will remain overnight for observation.

A Widener University security guard saw the fire and notified firefighters.

The cause is under investigation.
