Bullets leave 3 injured, 2 critically, in Germantown

It was a violent night, with 6 people hurt in 3 separate shootings in the city.

GERMANTOWN (WPVI) -- Police say two men were critically wounded and a young woman injured after gunfire erupted in Philadelphia's Germantown section.



The shooting happened around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday on the 5500 block of Crowson Street.



Police believe the shooting was drug-related.



14th District Officers arrived to find a lot of ballistic evidence but no victims.



While they were investigating, officers from the 35th District reported that they were following a red SUV speeding through lights near Broad and Olney Streets.



They followed the vehicle to Einstein Medical Center and discovered three shooting victims inside the SUV.



An 18-year-old woman was shot in the leg and foot. She is in stable condition.



A 26-year-old man was shot twice in the back. A 28-year-old man was shot once in the stomach.



Both are in critical condition.



The driver was among the witnesses being questioned by investigators.



Police say a clear bag that appeared to contain marijuana was found at the scene.



They say 25 shots were fired from two different weapons, including an assault rifle.



Police are hoping surveillance video will provide clues in their search for suspects.
