CALN, TWP., Pa. (WPVI) -- A Chester County woman was surprised with cake and candles for her 105th birthday.

Kay McMullen thought she was walking into a regular meeting of her Senior Group in Caln Township.

But her friends had secretly planned a celebration.

Kay's actual birthday was back on August 30th.

She said Wednesday's party was the biggest surprise of her life. "I am flabbergasted. I really am. That is just lovely. So many people."

Kay still lives at home and drives herself to the grocery store.

She also enjoys cooking, and regular games of Bridge and Bingo.

She tells Action News the key to living a long and happy life is to take the good with the bad.
