Police say a man and a woman were injured in a crash on Roosevelt Boulevard in Northeast Philadelphia early Wednesday morning.

NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police say a man and a woman were injured in a crash on Roosevelt Boulevard in Northeast Philadelphia early Wednesday morning.

The crash happened around 3:30 a.m. in the southbound lanes near Grant Avenue.

According to police, the driver lost control, flipped over and knocked down a utility pole.

A 45-year-old man and his 41-year-old female passenger were taken to the hospital for treatment.

They are both in stable condition.

So far, no word on what caused the driver to lose control.

The accident remains under investigation.
