After 40 years in business, fire destroys appliance store

A business that has been in operation in Ocean County, New Jersey, for nearly 40 years was destroyed by fire.

WEST CREEK, N.J. (WPVI) -- A business that has been in operation in Ocean County, New Jersey, for nearly 40 years was destroyed by a fire.

The fire started just before 5 p.m. Saturday at Anchor Appliances, located in the 400 block of Main Street in West Creek, New Jersey.

Upon arrival, crews reported heavy fire showing from the building.

The fire went to three alarms before being brought under control, several hours later.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
