Fire scorches vacant Jersey ice factory

A vacant ice factory in South Jersey went up in flames early Tuesday morning.

The Crystal Ice Factory on the 100 block of Elm Street in Bridgeton, Cumberland County, lit up the early morning sky with flames.

The blaze broke out about 2 A.M. and quickly tore thriough the 19,000 square foot building.

At least four fire companies and a number of tanker trucks converged on the burning building.

There are no reports of injuries and no word yet on a cause.
