Suspect I.D.'d in A.C. casino stabbing

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (AP) - April 6, 2008

Atlantic County Prosecutor Ted Housel said in a statement that the altercation between Vicente Perez of Georgia and an unnamed victim started around 2:46 p.m. inside the Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort.

The altercation spilled out into the hotel's valet parking lot where the victim was stabbed.

He was pronounced dead at an Atlantic City hospital.

The victim's identity has not been released pending notification of the next of kin.

A spokeswoman for the prosecutor's office told The Press of Atlantic City that Perez is expected to be charged with aggravated manslaughter and weapons charges.

An autopsy was scheduled for Sunday.
