Pedestrian killed in Wilmington

Wilmington police say a pedestrian killed at Maryland Avenue and Read Street Tuesday morning might have been selling newspapers. Police haven't released the identity of the 55-year-old man killed when a sport utility vehicle hit him.

He was hit by the car which was traveling past the man as he sold newspapers about 6:45 a.m.

Police say they haven't charged anyone in the crash.

The man was pronounced dead at Christiana Hospital with multiple head and internal injuries.
