Yes. The Mid-Atlantic Ridge is a volcanic zone that extends from north to south along nearly the entire length of the Atlantic Ocean, splitting it down the middle. Along the length of this ridge, there are numerous points where volcanic material spews from within the earth through volcanic openings. If fact, this molten emission is what creates new ocean floor.
