An alert business owner helped catch someone breaking into his diner.

State police say a Delaware business owner kept vigil over his diner and alerted police when a burglar was breaking in through a window.

Police tell Action News that troopers found the suspect, Tansu Vardar, 26, hiding in some bushes near the Marsh Road Diner when they arrived.

The owner of the business had been outside, sitting in his vehicle, and he observed Vardar go into the diner through a side window.

Vardar has been charged with breaking into the diner on June 19th, 21st and 26th. He's been charged by Delaware State Police with criminal mischief, burglary and theft.
