FCC may go after Comcast

WASHINGTON, D.C.; July 28, 2008

Comcast is accused of blocking Internet traffic among users of a certain type of file-sharing software that lets them exchange large amounts of data.

While it looks like most FCC members are on board the idea of taking action against Comcast, the decision won't be final until the votes are cast. That's expected at the FCC's August 1st meeting. The FCC's chair says the action against Comcast won't include a fine.
