Grandfather sentenced for child's death

MEDIA, Pa. - October 17, 2008 Edward Kanterman, 59, accidentally left his grandson inside a sweltering vehicle in June. His 14-month-old grandson, Nicholas McCorkle, was locked inside the car for over 5 hours while Kanterman went to work.

It happened June 10th during a heat wave.

Kanterman was charged with involuntary manslaughter. He decided to plead no contest to the charge today. A judge ordered Kanterman to perform 200 hours of community service and face 3 years' probation.
