Pa. child on life-support; allegedly beaten by man

A 19-month-old boy is on life-support and the 19-year-old man accused of putting the child in that condition is in a western Pennsylvania jail. State police say Joshua Louis Turner is charged with aggravated assault and other crimes for allegedly beating, biting, shaking and punching the child Tuesday afternoon. The alleged attack happened in Burrell Township, Indiana County.

Police say the boy is on life-support at UPMC-Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh.

Police so far are not identifying the boy or saying how the alleged attacker knows or is related to him.
