Mindy McCready released from jail

FRANKLIN, Tenn. (AP) - November 3, 2008 Mindy McCready out of jail

The country star was released after serving about 30 days of her 60-day sentence in Tennessee.

She ended up doing about half her sentence for violating probation on a 2004 drug charge.

The Williamson County Sheriff's Department says the country singer was set free Friday morning. Her early release comes because of credits she received for good behavior and doing janitorial work in the jail.

McCready is 32. She was accused in June of falsifying her community service records and charged with violating her probation.

Back in 2004, McCready received a suspended three-year sentence for fraudulently obtaining prescription painkillers.
