A South Jersey high school student has been infected with a dangerous type of bacteria.

Burlington Township High School officials confirmed that a student there has been diagnosed with MRSA.

The school is being cleaned as a precaution.

MRSA is typically resistant to some antibiotics. In extreme cases it can be deadly.

In October, a Chichester, Delaware County, student was diagnosed with MRSA.
