Pa. office bookkeeper faces prison time

DOYLESTOWN, Pa. (AP) - November 12, 2008 Twenty-nine-year-old Kirsten Jones of Philadelphia pleaded guilty to theft and related charges and was sentenced on Monday. She's accused of embezzling more than $300,000 while in charge of billing and collecting at the Terminal Square Pain Center in Bensalem.

Bucks County Court Judge Rea Boylan says Jones must serve two to four years in state prison, and pay restitution.

Prosecutors say her purchases included a BMW and a GMC Envoy sport-utility vehicle. When laid off she tried to transfer $52,000 to a personal account. When confronted by police she agreed to surrender, but first she took one more trip -- to Disney World.
