LACEY TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) - November 18, 2008
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission says the reactor can operate
until the plant's next scheduled inspection in 2012.
The drywell is designed to contain radiation in the event of an
accident.
The NRC says ultrasonic measurements of the drywell's thickness
met standards.
State and local groups are opposing efforts to renew Oyster
Creek's license for 20 years.
