No one was at home at the time of the incident, but when the homeowner returned their eyes and mouth began to burn. No one else was injured.
Police are treating the case as an unlawful entry case.
The local fire department and hazmat crews remain on scene. The original call came into police shortly after 8:00 a.m.
Crews are now working to decontaminate the house.
