Car fire causes NJ Turnpike backup

PENNSGROVE, N.J. - April 17, 2009 The car burst into flames about 3:40 p.m. Friday afternoon causing traffic to backup for miles.

The fire was extinguished by 4:00 p.m.

No injuries have been reported.

Police recommend motorists take 295 South to detour to the bridge.
