President Obama's Supreme Court nominee could become the 10th Princeton University graduate to sit on the panel if she's confirmed.

Sonia Sotomayor graduated from the Ivy League school in 1976. She received the Pyne Prize that year, the top award given to Princeton's undergraduates which recognizes excellent scholarship, strength of character and effective leadership.

She majored in history, and her senior thesis was about the impact of Luis Munoz Marin, the first democratically elected governor of Puerto Rico.

Her ties to the Ivy League university have continued. Sotomayor received an honorary doctorate in 2001 and was named to the board of trustees in 2006.
