Gera is a veteran of the Iraq war, where she sniffed out roadside bombs.
Now, the 6-year-old German shepherd is using her nose to detect drugs for police in Medicine Lodge.
Chief Brian Miller says Gera also has soft side, which she shows when doing demonstrations for school kids.
Miller says he was able to adopt Gera from the Air Force at no charge.
