Boutique goods at discount prices

CENTER CITY - Sept. 25, 2009

"Spring and summer (merchandise) is upwards of anything from 75-80% off, " explains Nicole Cashman and Associates, which is organizing the sale." Fall merchandise is anywhere from 20 - 40% off. And then there's also all kinds of specials like Buy One, Get One Free, Buy Two, Get One Half-off. Some really great deals."

Among the deals, a green Shipley & Halmos knot-front drape dress from Petulia's Folly. It was originally $499. On Sunday it'll be 75% off -- on sale for $127.

A men's Hugo Boss shirt from South Moon Under was originally $115. On Sunday it'll be 50% off, on sale for $57.50.

And a Melie Bianco handbag, which was originally $79 at J. Karma boutique, will be on sale at a 40% savings, just $47.40.

Admission to the Girls' Day Out is free and organizers promise there will be plenty to buy, for men, women, children, and the home.

"Unfortunately, in these economic times, they really do have a lot of merchandise , quite a bit of sizing, quite a bit of inventory left over," Cashman explains, " So there's a LOT of merchandise, not just a couple of small, individual things."

The first 50 shoppers to RSVP and attend will get deluxe gift bags full of merchandise, and everyone will have a chance to have their shopping trip pay off for a local charity.

Cashman explains, "What we're doing is collecting gently used, worn accessories or unopened beauty products for The Career Wardrobe, which helps women transition back into the workplace."

The sale will take place from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. in Millennium Ballroom on the second floor of the Loews Hotel. Cash and checks are preferred, though some retailers will be equipped to accept credit cards.

To RSVP, call 215-627-1082, extension 1 or click here. RSVP's aren't mandatory, but enable you to register for the gift bags.
