18 hospitalized after Warminster fire

WARMINSTER, Pa. - October 11, 2009

The blaze at the Bucks Landing apartments in Warminster was reported just before 5 a.m. Sunday. Firefighters say a third-floor apartment in building C at the complex was destroyed and there was smoke and water damage to the first and second floors.

An Abington Memorial Hospital official says about 15 people were brought to the emergency room for treatment, but all had been discharged within a few hours. Doylestown Hospital spokeswoman Karen McCurdy says three minors were treated at the hospital for smoke inhalation and breathing difficulties, but all were released.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
