Tate Modern replaces nude image of Brooke Shields
LONDON (AP) - October 14, 2009 The Tate closed a room housing the "Spiritual America 1983"
image by artist Richard Prince after a visit two weeks ago by a
London police unit that deals with obscene publications.
The London museum said in a statement Wednesday that it has
replaced the piece with a later version of the work made by Prince
in collaboration with Shields called "Spiritual America IV 2005."
The new art work shows a photo of Shields in a bikini taken in
2005.
