Bandit linked to 3 Dunkin Donuts robberies

CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa. - October 21, 2009

The latest robbery happened at approximately 1:00 a.m. at the Dunkin Donuts located at 200 Ridge Pike in Conshohocken. Police say the man entered the store and asked the clerk where the bathroom was located. He then walked behind the counter, said he had a gun and demanded money.

The female clerk handed the man cash, but he also took the money in the tip container.

Based on video surveillance, police are currently looking for a white male, believed to be approximately 35-40 years old, approximately 5'4" - 5'6", weighing 167-175 lbs with light brown or blonde receding hair. He was last seen wearing Dark blue or black three quarter length jacket, maroon shirt, blue jeans and dark shoes.

The first robbery happened Monday, October 12th when the same man walked into a Dunkin' Donuts store located at 1165 West Baltimore Pike in Media, near the Granite Run Mall. In this case, police say he asked for directions, then went into the men's restroom. A few minutes later he came out, went behind the counter, and demanded money from the clerk.

Then around 9:30 on Thursday, October 16th the suspect entered the Dunkin Donuts store located at 1601 East MacDade Boulevard in Folsom, Pennsylvania. The man ordered a doughnut, checked the store to make sure no other customers were present, and then moved behind the counter. There, police say, he implied he had a weapon by putting his hand in his pocket. He then told the female employee to give him all the cash.

"He said give me the money or I'll shoot you," said store manager Jay Patel. "She said, 'Okay, okay, I'll give it to you."

The clerk was not hurt, and the robber left the store with $750.

Police say he was wearing the same heavy, 3/4 length coat in this instance as he wore in the latest robbery. But it is his hair that is most noticeable.

"His hair is thin at the top, and he has a high forehead, high widows' peak, and balding in the back. It looks like he has some sideburns down the side," said Lt. Scott Willoughby of the Ridley Township Police.

Witnesses say the man gets away in a small, black 4-door station wagon with a license plate that starts with "H."
