Paula Deen gets hit by a ham

ATLANTA, Ga. – November 23, 2009 Paula Deen was helping to deliver ham to an Atlanta charity when one came flying through the air and smacked her in the face.

She wasn't laughing when it happened, but later joked that she ran head on into a hog.

The Food Network star says the encounter left her nose hurting a bit.

Deen was in Atlanta as part of Smithfield Foods' initiative to help feed families in need this Thanksgiving.
