The fire broke out just before midnight at this house on the 400 block of Dutton Street in Upper Chichester.
The people in the house were able to get out safely.
The cat suffered smoke inhalation and had to be revived.
Fortunately, it appeared to be doing just fine.
There is no word yet on a cause.
