Pedestrian killed on Amtrak tracks

TACONY - April 6, 2010 A northbound Amtrak train heading to New York from Philadelphia struck and killed a pedestrian shortly after 8:00 p.m. Tuesday in the vicinity of Septa's Tacony station.

Details remain sketchy but the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

All rail traffic in the area has been suspended until the investigation can be completed. This also affects Septa's R7 Trenton line.
