N. Philadelphia fire under control

NORTH PHILADELPHIA - May 12, 2010

The fire broke out along 16th Street near Cecil B. Moore Avenue shortly before 8:30 p.m.

Arriving fire crews reported seeing medium to heavy smoke coming from the second and third floors of a three story row-style building.

One person was rushed by medics to Hahnemann Hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation.

There is no word yet on a cause.

The fire was brought under control around 9:00 p.m.
