He is 73-year-old Shijun Liu.
Police say Liu is a dementia patient who was reported missing from an assisted living facility on Saturday night.
The discovery of his body was made near Market Street in Center City around 6:15 a.m.
Initial calls came in for a report of a man in the river, and Liu's body was discovered at that location.
No foul play is suspected.
