A second alligator has been spotted in the Chicago River.
Yesterday, kids, their parents and dog walkers watched as the gator's eyes peaked above the water.
Experts say the 3-foot-long gator doesn't pose a threat to people unless cornered.
Earlier this month, a volunteer alligator hunter with the Chicago Herpetological Society captured a 2 1/2-foot long reptile.
The experts say they are most likely abandoned pets.
Officials add there's no way an alligator could survive a Chicago winter.
