Firefighters responded to the 1800 block of Skippack Pike, just east of Butler Pike, in Whitemarsh Township. The driver of a car lost control and slammed into an embankment, trapping that driver.
Firefighters worked to free the driver who was then transported to The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where she is listed in critical condition.
No word yet on what caused her to lose control.
