Double homicide in Chester, Pa.

CHESTER, Pa. - September 6, 2010 Two people were killed on the streets of Chester, Delaware County.

The gunman opened fire just before midnight along the 27-hundred block of Kane Street.

Neighboring police departments responded along with Chester authorities.

Both victims were taken to the hospital, where they later died.

So far, there are no arrests.

This double shooting is the latest in a rash of deadly violence plaguing the city of Chester.

In July , officials in Chester ended a state of emergency which included a curfew and increased police patrols in the roughest sections of the Delaware County city.
