The crash happened around 6:45 a.m. at 11th Street.
Four vehicles, including a tractor-trailer, were piled on top of each other. A pickup truck was even spun into the wrong direction.
Fuel spilled onto the roadway and fire shot from several of the vehicles before firefighters arrived to extinguish the flames.
Following the crash, westbound traffic was immediately jilted into gridlock. The eastbound lanes of the Expressway were briefly closed as well to allow fire crews access to the scene.
The wreckage was finally cleared at approximately 9:35 a.m. and all lanes of traffic are now getting by the scene.
Amazingly, there were no major injuries sustained in the crash.
