Del. Police searching for beer bandit

NEWARK, Del. - September 22, 2010

The Newark Police Department reports the burglary happened at Peddlers Pit Stop, 610 S. College Ave, Newark, Tuesday September 21 just after 1 a.m.

Police say the suspect tried to pry open a door but couldn't, so he busted out a window. The suspect made off with one case of beer before police arrived.

Images from the store's security camera captured a white man, about 20 to 25 years old, with a shaved head and possibly a light moustache. A vehicle that drove by appears to be a Mazda B300 extended cab pick-up truck, or other similar model. It is a shade of green and has a lighter colored striping/design down the side (passenger side visible in photo). There is a black tool box mounted in the bed of the truck. At the time of the burglary, there was also a clear plastic tote box with a white lid in the bed.
