Shots rang out around 3:30 p.m. inside Bill's Tavern at 3rd and Thurlow Streets.
The initial call to police was that two people were struck by gunfire.
When police arrived, however, they could only find one shooting victim.
Police are checking local hospitals for a second victim.
There is no word on what touched off the violence.
