Police say at about 11:30 on Wednesday night, two men wearing dark clothes approached the victim -- a man in his 20s -- and opened fire.
It happened on the 200 block of Jackson Street.
Witnesses say at least one of the men opened fire, before the two fled.
They remain on the loose.
Police have not yet released the name of the victim, and have not said if they know why he was the killers' target.
