Twenty-five-year-old Kevin Martin of Harrisburg entered the plea Tuesday to voluntary manslaughter and weapons charges in the March 2009 death of Gilberto Vazquez during a brawl in the Whipping Post Pub in Reading.
Berks County authorities said three other people, including Martin, were wounded by gunfire in the shooting.
The plea was the result of an agreement between Assistant District Attorney Rosalynda Michetti and defense attorney Jay Waldman. Michetti said the victim had a gun and there was a shootout at the bar, and the plea was an apropriate one.
