Flames broke out just before 1:00 a.m. Tuesday inside a condominium on the 1200 block of Chelmsford Circle.
Firefighters found flames coming from the second story of the unit when they arrived.
It took crews about an hour to get the fire under control. When they did they discovered the female victim on the second floor.
Officials have not released the age or identity of the victim at this time.
Seven occupants of other units were displaced by the fire and are being assisted by the Red Cross.
