The fire broke out around 3:20 a.m. in the laundry room, which was located in the basement of the Innova Health and Rehab Center located in the 1500 block of Clements Bridge Road in Deptford.
Arriving crews were met with smoke coming from the basement of the nursing home and quickly went to work extinguishing the smoky blaze.
Staff from the nursing home along with firefighters were able to relocate dozens of residents of the home to another section of the facility without any incident or injury to the residents.
So far, no word on what sparked the fire.
