It took more than 12 hours and a lot of work to capture a dog that was running on and near I-95 in Northeast Philadelphia.

The Shepherd was first spotted last night, then again this morning.

Sky6 traffic cameras caught the scene as the dog ran across all lanes of traffic.

Luckily, drivers stopped and there was no crash or injuries.

The dog was eventually caught in a nearby wooded area.

"Northbound", as she is now known, was taken to Animal Care and Control in Hunting Park.

She's believed to be about 10 years old.

Despite being tired, she appears to be in good condition and was not hurt.

It's still unclear just where "Northbound" came from in the first place.
