Philadelphia police and the fire department were called out to the 9200 block of Bartram Avenue at around 4:00 p.m. for the report of a car fire with someone possibly trapped inside.
Fire crews were able to put the fire out. They then found a man was stuck inside.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are investigating why the vehicle left the roadway and caught fire.
