Police search in Chester Co. ends

Pennsylvania State Police Troopers, with guns drawn, are spotted by Chopper 6 in East Nottingham Township, Chester County on Tuesday morning. They were searching for a 25-year-old suspect who was considered dangerous.

Police say they have found the man that prompted a warning to East Nottingham residents Tuesday morning.

Troopers tell Action News that they were answering a call from a family that was concerned about the mental health of their son.

The man had fled the home in the family's car, but when police caught up with him, he got out and ran into the woods near Old Creek and Little Elk Creek roads at about 6 a.m.

Police had search dogs and a state police helicopter involved in the search.

The 25-year-old man was found around 9:30 a.m.

Residents who live nearby were warned to stay indoors and lock their doors during the search, but police say the emergency situation is over.

No one was injured during the search.
