Woman killed in North Philadelphia fire

Firefighters on the scene along North 16th Street in Philadelphia, where a woman was found dead following an overnight fire.

Philadelphia firefighters found a dead woman inside a North Philadelphia home after battling a fire that started just before 2 a.m.

Flames were reported inside the home along the 3300 block of North 16th Street at about 1:45 a.m.

As firefighters arrived, the flames were throughout the 2nd and 3rd floors of the house.

Once the fire was out, firefighters found the woman's body as they searched the home. Her name has not been released yet.
