Action News has learned that the Philadelphia Flyers will host the 2012 Winter Classic!

Get your calendars out and your cold weather gear ready!

It will reportedly be played on January 2, 2012 against the New York Rangers.

Because of the NFL schedule, the game will likely be played at Citizen's Bank Park.

This will be the NHL's fifth Winter Classic and the third played at a major league baseball stadium.

The Chicago Blackhawks played host to the Detroit Red Wings at Wrigley Field in 2009, while the Flyers took on the Boston Bruins at Fenway Park in 2010.
