Sister of Philly drug kingpin charged in firebomb plot

The sister of a convicted drug kingpin is accused of helping set up the deadly firebombing of a north Philadelphia home that killed six family members of a man who planned to testify against her brother.

In an indictment unsealed Wednesday federal prosecutors allege Kidada Savage paid for the 2004 attack on the home of home of Eugene Coleman that killed his mother, toddler son and four other family members.

Authorities say Kidada Savage was helping her older brother, Kaboni Savage, intimidate a witness.

Kaboni Savage is currently serving a 30-year drug-trafficking sentence. He is charged in the firebombing deaths and other killings he allegedly ordered to protect a multimillion-dollar North Philadelphia drug operation.

It was not clear if Kidada Savage had an attorney. Her arraignment was set for Thursday.
