Man hit on I-295 may be connected to stabbing

BORDENTOWN, N.J. - August 5, 2011

State Police Sgt. Stephen Jones says troopers responded to a report of a pedestrian struck on a northbound lane in Bordentown around 6:30 a.m.

The man, who has not yet been identified, is expected to recover from his injuries.

Jones says troopers closed the lane for about 90 minutes after learning the man may have been wanted in connection with a gas station robbery and stabbing in Mansfield.

The Burlington County Prosecutor's Office is investigating.
