In a statement released Friday, Paul Ridder, who oversees the Philadelphia operation and was a former senior vice present and chief financial officer for Tasty, said the cuts are the results of overlap and redundancies in the company.
The cuts will take place over the next several months.
Bread maker Flowers Foods Inc. completed its $34.4 million acquisition of Tasty in May.
Philadelphia-based Tasty, whose line of packaged sweets includes Kandy Kakes and Krimpets, became part of Flowers' direct-store-delivery business.
Founded in 1914, Tasty Baking employs about 740 people in the Philadelphia region.
