Anne Arundel County Police say they believe 33-year-old Kelly Brian Thompson killed his wife, 34-year-old Nina Thompson, and her twin 15-year-old children, Taishawn Pugh and Treshawn Pugh.
They say he killed himself with a single gunshot that police heard as they came to the home in Brooklyn Park, Md., to check on the family Sunday.
Police say Kelly Thompson was not the teens' biological father.
They say his mother called authorities after she received a disturbing text message from her son and feared for his and his family's safety.
